If you’re ready to live a life that feels invigorating, full of energy, and like you want to get out of bed, you’ve come to the right place.
I used to wake up and lie in bed as long as I could because nothing was exciting me. I chose to do nothing in hopes that some day I’d wake up happy and with the motivation to get the things I’d been dreaming of done. I would fantasize about that day, when I would have my shit together and everything would be perfect.
But I finally realized that it can’t just happen with no action. I remembered that I can’t wait for the motivation to find me, that I had to take the steps that would allow the motivation to flow.
So I started slowly, I began just merely mindfully breathing every day. Some days, it was when I was lying in bed in the morning or while I tossed and turned trying to fall asleep.
Then I began to incorporate daily movement, and keeping up with my breath during those times. Some days, I would only have 5 minutes in me, but as time progressed, the changes started coming through and I could feel how movement of my body and my breath was making me feel different, feel better.
I started to crave my time on my mat, gradually spending more and more time grounding myself in the moment and experiencing my life. Truly being present for the first time in my life, and these became my favorite times so I spent more time on my mat.
I have spent almost every single day on my mat for the last two and half years, and I couldn’t imagine my life without this time. The consistency is what’s made all the difference. I try to get on it in the morning and at night.. I am able to ground myself and set my intention for the day and wind down from my busy days. It allows me to regulate my nervous system so that I can handle the stress of every day life and stay positive no matter what comes my way.
My goal is to help show you that it is possible. You, too, can live your life feeling inspired, happy, and flexible – both mentally and physically. It’s up to you to get out of your way and choose to do the things that support the life that you want to live.
